History
Maurepas is home to several clearly identifiable testimonies to the town's history. The Church of Saint-Sauveur was rebuilt in the 11th century using millstone and features a two-bay Romanesque choir and a three-bay nave. Of the two large bells commissioned in 1659 for Saint-Sauveur by Marie de Rohan, Duchess of Chevreuse, one is still in the bell tower today. The surviving part of Maurepas's feudal keep is approximately 20 metres high.

The Forêt domaniale de Maurepas is also located along the same route, a vast forest area with numerous tree species as well as animal and plant species in its wilder areas.

At the Royal Channel in Maurepas, examples of boundary stones bearing the names “Borne 7”, “Le long des rigoles” and “La Marnière” are mentioned.
The Café de la Plage is a cultural venue for concerts, exhibitions and comedy events and supports artists through residencies, coaching and training. At the same time, the Café de la Plage promotes local artists and offers exhibitions as well as artistic formats such as educational jam sessions, the Festival des Studios and Cobalt stage events.
