“La Route du Bouleau” is a mural created in Magnanville in 2021 as part of the “Un Mur, Une Oeuvre” programme, organised by the Communauté urbaine Grand Paris Seine & Oise and the town of Magnanville. Inspired by nature and featuring botanical designs, the artwork celebrates life, the energy of action and the spirit of sharing. Participants and the team from the Médiathèque Le Grenier des Arts were involved in its creation.

The Ancien Château de Magnanville, Fondation Léopold Bellan, is a château at 1 Rue de la Ferme that is locally protected as “Remarquable”. The Maison bourgeoise du chateau is part of the château estate and displays notable architectural qualities due to its form and architectural language.

Nature and landscape

The Les Brosses district is protected because of its airy layout, uniformity and viewpoints; the Allée des Acacias is considered the district’s green lung. Magnanville has a landscaped ensemble consisting of a pond surrounded by a stone wall, connected to the community’s agricultural past.

The 23-hectare Bois des Terriers offers views over the Seine valley and rural landscapes; its wooded avenues are lined with oak, maple, ash and hornbeam trees. Orienteering in the Bois des Terriers starts at the car park at the corner of Rue de Fontenay and Avenue des Érables in Magnanville.

Activities

The Centre Equestre de Magnanville welcomes riders of all ages – from beginners to competition riders – for horse riding. The Ecurie de Magnanville offers classes for baby ponies as well as riding activities with ponies and horses. The programme also includes vaulting, dressage and ethology.
