Andrésy combines contemporary art, river landscapes and an established cultural heritage within a compact area. A prominent cultural highlight is Sculptures en l’Île, a free annual open-air exhibition of contemporary art in Andrésy.
Culture and History
The historic architecture includes the Église Saint-Germain. Its main construction phases date from the 13th century to the first half of the 16th century. The church has been classified as a Monument historique since 25 April 1949.
At the entrance to the Espace Julien-Green, the Galerie des Passions presents art exhibitions throughout the year. The Espace Julien-Green itself hosts public exhibitions of paintings, photographs and sculptures throughout the year.
The Centre Yvelinois des Arts de la Marionnette (CYAM) in Andrésy offers puppet theatre performances, artistic practice workshops, further training, and cultural activities in schools or with local organisations. The Chalet de Denouval now houses the Centre Yvelinois des Arts de la Marionnette (CYAM).

Nature and the River
Île Nancy is a three-kilometre-long protected island in a bend of the Seine. From the Julien-Green pontoon, it can be reached by a free boat operated exclusively by the town of Andrésy.

The Barrage-Écluse d’Andrésy is part of the area’s river heritage. The structure was built in the 1950s, and two locks were added in the 1970s. The remaining right arm of the Seine at the Barrage-Écluse d’Andrésy serves as a leisure area with rowing clubs, water sports areas and moorings for sports and leisure boats.
Walking Routes and Cycle Tourism
Andrésy offers five municipal walking routes for exploring its natural, architectural, historical and river heritage. Andrésy also carries the Accueil Vélo label; the designated reception point for cycle tourism is located at the Point Info Tourisme.
