Its façades and roofs have been partially protected as historic monuments since 19 March 1965. There is an exhibition room on the first floor.

The present-day Église Saint-Gratien was built with the support of Princess Mathilde Bonaparte and consecrated on 29 May 1859. It houses furnishings from the 18th and 19th centuries that are protected or listed as historic monuments, including the sarcophagus of Marshal de Catinat. The statue of Andromède was created by Franceschi and purchased by Princess Mathilde Bonaparte in 1860 for her park in Saint-Gratien.

As part of the “Inventaire(s)” project, a recognised illustrator has been invited every year since 2005 to interpret Saint-Gratien and its surroundings from their perspective.

The Espace Jacques Villeglé is dedicated to contemporary art. Its programme includes exhibitions, tours and workshops for the public.

The Théâtre Jean Marais is the town’s central venue for its performing arts programme. It offers around twenty interdisciplinary performances in the fields of theatre, dance, circus, storytelling and concerts. Tours led by a guide provide insights into publicly accessible areas as well as areas that are normally inaccessible, such as the backstage area, artists’ dressing rooms and technical control room.

The Les Toiles cinema in Saint-Gratien is a three-screen complex. For more than ten years, the “Un Monde… Des Cultures” festival has celebrated the diversity and richness of cultures, presenting them from folklore to contemporary artistic life.
