Épinay-Sur-Orge: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The PR des Trois Rivières hiking trail is approximately 10.7 kilometres long and takes about three hours on foot. It runs along the Yvette, Orge and Rouillon rivers. Nature

In the south of Épinay-sur-Orge, the Orge runs through Parc de Perray-Vaucluse and continues via Parc du Breuil to the D257 road towards Morsang-sur-Orge. To the north of Épinay-sur-Orge, the Yvette flows; within the municipality, it joins the Orge at Centre commercial des Rossays.

History and Culture

A first church was built in 811 on the site of the present-day Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles church. The church has a Romanesque portal with a sculpted tympanum.

The bell made for the Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles church in Épinay-sur-Orge bears an inscription dating from 1561. Since 30 September 1911, it has been listed as a protected historic monument. Saint-Leu-Saint-Gilles is one of the Romanesque churches in the Essonne département.

Activities

The P’tit Train des Templiers operates electric, thermal and steam-powered model trains as well as vélorails on a circuit approximately 550 metres long, enabling children and adults to travel around the course.

The Association des Peintres et Sculpteurs d’Épinay-sur-Orge organises an annual art exhibition. Rando Plus Loisirs offers walking excursions and cultural outings.
