The Sainte-Anne Chapel dates from the 16th century and is designed in the Flamboyant Gothic style. It features a remarkable wooden rib vault.
The ensemble on Allée des Fontaines comprises a stone enclosure around the spring and a washhouse with two basins. The arcaded washhouse is located on Place de la Fontaine in Brotte-lès-Ray and was built in 1844 according to the plans of the architect Delanne.
In 1997, Brotte-lès-Ray received first prize from the National Special Jury among municipalities with fewer than 500 inhabitants for the restoration of its heritage. René Pernot was born on 7 September 1872 in Brotte-lès-Ray, in the Haute-Saône department of France.
Nature and Trails
A small open fountain is located on Allée des Fontaines in Brotte-lès-Ray. The former Gray–Jussey Tacot railway line was restored in 2007 and serves as a hiking trail.
Two metal bridges built in 1903 along the former Gray–Jussey Tacot railway line are considered municipal engineering structures. The Vanon runs along the outskirts of Brotte-lès-Ray; there, a stone bridge crosses the Vanon.
Pike, trout, chub, roach and other fish species can be caught in the Vanon near Brotte-lès-Ray.
Event
The last Sunday in July was given as the date for Brotte-lès-Ray's patronal festival.
