Culture

The archaeological site and the foundations of an original sanctuary in Valle-di-Rostino were classified as a Historic Monument by a decree dated 15 May 1991. Anyone considering Valle-di-Rostino as a destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

The Chapelle Saint-Sylvestre de Grate is now located in the centre of the hamlet of Grate, at an altitude of 690 m, on a rocky outcrop. It was built in 1664.

U Castellu a A Scolca stands on a rocky outcrop and offers unobstructed views across the entire valley.

The ruins of the Lavatoghju mill include a water tower and two partially buried millstones. The mill was used to grind chestnuts.

Paths and Trails

The Sentier du Patrimoine follows the historic path that linked the hamlet of Valle with Ponte Novu. The trail includes one of the few remaining sections of Valle's water supply system and passes by the village washhouse. This was where the village women met; the washhouse was used until the 1960s.

Cycling

The Strada Paolina cycling loop follows climbs towards Valle di Rustinu (Valle-di-Rostino). These climbs offer panoramic views. The route runs exclusively on roads that are sometimes narrow but always passable.
