Casabianca: Holiday apartments and houses

Casabianca lies on the eastern slope of Castagniccia and in the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse. The village is situated at an altitude of around 600 metres below Cima a u Borgu, which reaches 930 metres.
Culture and history
The Couvent Saint-Antoine was founded around 1420 as an institution of the Servite Order. From 13 to 15 July 1755, the consultation took place at the Couvent during which representatives of 16 pieves elected Pascal Paoli as General-in-Chief of Corsica. The ruins of the Couvent Saint-Antoine are very easily accessible and well presented.
The façades and roofs of the Église de l’Annonciation have been partially protected as historic monuments by a decree dated 10 May 2012. The church grounds offer panoramic views of Mont San Petrone. Parking is available on the village’s main square, less than 100 metres from the Église de l’Annonciation.
The Chapelle Saint-Michel is a single-nave building with a barrel vault and a bell tower crowned by a lantern. Casabianca is a former fortified village dating from the 16th century, whose houses were originally surrounded by fortification walls.
Local details
The Fontaine de Casabianca dates from 1734. Its basin feeds the adjacent washhouse through its overflow.

The Itinéraire J hiking trail connects Giocatojo and Casabianca over a distance of 1.9 kilometres.
