Culture and History
The parish church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens (San Petru) in Sarrola-Carcopino has medieval origins and was restored in 1871. It houses the statue of Notre-Dame du Rosaire. The Romanesque Sainte-Marie Chapel (Santa Maria) dates from 1774. This historic setting is complemented by the Dolmen de Valle Bughja I Tempi Anziani, which was discovered in 1969.
The Gravona Canal crosses Sarrola-Carcopino. In the past, it carried water from the Gravona over 19 kilometres, from the Peri dam to the Canneto basin, to supply the city of Ajaccio.

Getting Around
Punta Sant'Eliseo can be reached from the area around Sarrola-Carcopino. The route leads through landscapes on both sides of the mountain. At 1,271 metres, Punta Sant'Eliseo is one of the highest peaks in the Pays d'Ajaccio.
