Morimond Abbey was founded around 1117 and exerted influence throughout Europe. Archaeological excavations at the abbey have uncovered significant remains dating from the 12th to the 18th century. In front of Parnoy-en-Bassigny's town hall stands a 15th-century cross that is protected as a historic monument. Parnoy-en-Bassigny's cemetery contains a 16th-century cross that has been listed as a historic monument. Fresnoy-en-Bassigny church contains a 15th-century silver reliquary bust of Saint Ursula and a tombstone for Bénigne Petit, the wife of Blaise Briffaut. The Sentier du moine à Morimond is a very easy 9.7-kilometre circular hiking route. It includes the former Cistercian abbey of Morimond, the Morimond pond, the Morimond state forest, as well as Ferme de Vaudainvilliers and Grange de Morimond. The ponds of Morimond are used for fishing and are associated with hiking.
