Culture and History
The Moulin-cavier de Nouan-sur-Loire is registered as a historic monument; the protection has been in place since 13 January 1992. The parish church of Saint-Laurent-Saint-Germain has an entrance-tower porch dating from the 11th century. The nave, chancel and transept were rebuilt in the 16th century.
The Moulin Saint-Jacques is an Angevin-type Moulin-cavier windmill built at the beginning of the 19th century. Its exterior can be viewed freely every day; guided tours are available by prior arrangement.
The church of Saint-Laurent-Saint-Germain houses numerous works of art classified as historic monuments.
