Culture and History
The Prieuré du Puley is a Romanesque church dating from the early 12th century. From 1263 onwards, the priory church of Saint-Christophe in Le Puley was the seat of a women's priory affiliated with the Benedictine Abbey of Lancharre in the municipality of Chapaize. The Prieuré du Puley was classified as a historic monument in 1973.
The quarries in Le Puley are also part of the village's history: they have existed for a very long time and have brought the village renown.
