Montigny-En-Morvan: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Pannecière-Chaumard reservoir covers 520 hectares and holds 80 million cubic metres of water; it is considered the largest lake in the Morvan.

During severe winters, the reservoir serves as a refuge for numerous waterbird species, including great crested grebes, cormorants, grey herons, great egrets and various species of duck.

Routes
The “Les rives du petit lac de Pannecière” route starts and ends at the Place de l'Église in Montigny-en-Morvan.
The “Les rives de Pannecière” circular hiking trail runs along the shore of the lake and offers a view of the dam.
At the Yonne, the route provides access to a specially created observation point.
The “Tour équestre du Morvan” also passes through Montigny-en-Morvan.
Culture and History
The Château de Chassy dates from 1649 and followed a medieval fortified complex, of which moats and substructures remain. In 1952, the château belonged to the painter Balthus, who stayed there for around ten years to paint portraits and landscapes of the Morvan.
The Église Saint-Léger dates from the 15th century and has since been extensively remodelled. It has a 16th-century baptismal font.
The Fontaine Saint-Léger is located below the Église Saint-Léger; according to tradition, it is said to cure eye diseases.
The Chapelle Saint-Bernard lies on the route from Vézelay to Santiago de Compostela and was restored in 1824 and 1994.
Every year around 20 August, the feast day of Saint Bernard, a Mass is celebrated in the Chapelle Saint-Bernard in Chassy.
