The Palais ducal houses the permanent Espace Patrimoine exhibition, which invites visitors to discover Nevers. The Palais ducal itself is a former ducal residence in Nevers and has been classified as a Monument historique since 1840. The Palais ducal can be visited on guided tours on Sundays from April to October.
Among the historic buildings is the Porte du Croux, a gate tower with a drawbridge and machicolations, built at the end of the 14th century. Nature
In Nevers, the ÃŽle aux sternes is a protected natural area and a sand and gravel island between the Pont de Loire and the Pont de chemin de fer, where a colony of migratory birds lives.
