Teigny: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The settlement of Teigny stretches through the Armance Valley from Rue Barillot in the west to Rue d’Amont in the northeast. Along the village street, the Source de Teigny feeds a small semicircular stone basin beside the Armance. The fountains on Teigny’s church square were built over an artesian well.

Culture

The Église Saint-Nazaire-Saint-Celse has a Latin cross-shaped floor plan. The baptismal fonts in the Église Saint-Nazaire-et-Saint-Celse in Teigny are made of Tonnerre stone from the Yonne département. Their surround consists of oak boards profiled on the outside, alternating with turned balusters; these may be made of walnut.

The Croix de Teigny is a mission and jubilee cross dating from 1865. It stands at the junction of the Départementale 42, Rue d’Amont and a municipal road. The Pierre des morts de Teigny stands in front of the Croix de Teigny at the same junction.

At the Fontaine-Abreuvoir-Lavoir de Teigny, the wash basin is fed by a spring located behind the structure. The basin’s overflow feeds a livestock trough with two basins at the front. The entire Fontaine-Abreuvoir-Lavoir de Teigny and the paving in front of the structure have been restored.
