History

The Chapelle de Barnaud was open for worship until the French Revolution. It stands on the site of a former fortified house built on a motte at the edge of the Roman road from Autun to Bourbon-Lancy; extensive remains of the walls are still visible.

The Menhir of Tazilly was re-erected at the edge of the D973 in 1986 so that it would be more visible. It becomes visible after the junction with the D30 and the road to the hamlet of Chigy. The menhir is a monolith of light granite measuring 4.5 m in length and 1.3 m in width; on one flat side, traces of preliminary shaping can be seen at approximately two-thirds of its height.

In the wider regional surroundings of Tazilly is the Château du Mousseau, a castle. The archaeological sites Les Grandes Portes, La chapelle Saint-Martin and La Chaume are also located there, near Bibracte, Mont-Beuvray.

The Église de Tazilly is considered a Romanesque church with the layout of a Latin cross. Its nave has no vault; it also has transept chapels and a barrel-vaulted choir with an apse. The church also has a bell dating from 1733.
