Noyalo: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Towards the coastal and pond area, the landscape of Noyalo is considered open and characterized by agro-maritime features. It faces the gulf; above the pond, it is characterized by bocage hedgerows.

Tides and History

The first documented record of Noyalo’s tidal mill dates from a sales contract dated 26 April 1460. The tidal mill dating from 1830 had a roof with two slopes, standing perpendicular to the dam; the present mill dates from 1991.

At low tide, the water held back in the basin flows outside along walls that run perpendicular to the dam.

Culture

The choir and transept of the Sainte-Brigitte–Sainte-Anne parish church in Noyalo were restored or newly built in 1818; the nave and bell tower were rebuilt in 1857. Noyalo is also home to the 18th-century Sainte-Brigitte Church and a remarkable 15th-century polychrome statue of Saint Brigitte.

Nature

The Kerentré landing stage is located on the road to Sarzeau, in front of the Noyalo Bridge. It is a viewpoint where the emergence of new species can be observed; various resident and migratory bird species can also be observed at the Kerentré viewpoint.

Château de Meudon is a castle in the vicinity of Noyalo. Plage de Montsarrac and plage de la Villeneuve are also located nearby.
