Lanvaudan: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lanvaudan is known as a village of thatched-roof houses. Some of these thatched-roof houses are listed as historic monuments.

Culture

The parish church of Saint-Mandé in Lanvaudan was built in 1642 and has the layout of a Latin cross. The Saint-Mélec chapel in Lomelec, Lanvaudan, was built in 1649.

The listed monuments also include the cemetery cross of Lanvaudan, which was listed as a historic monument on 20 March 1934, as well as the Fontaine Saint-Roch and its enclosure, which were listed as historic monuments on 30 June 1933. The Puits et niche du Lion was listed as a historic monument on 20 March 1934.

Landscape

The heritage trail follows a former railway line. Around Lomelec in the Blavet Valley, the bocage landscape is criss-crossed by embankments and dry-stone walls. Gorse and heather grow on the Coët-Roc'h heathlands; nightjars and owls can be spotted across these heathlands.

Events

The Terres Fertiles Festival combines music and theatre. It uses unusual venues such as garages, former presbyteries, barns and longères as stages. Each year, the festival welcomes around 4,000 people.

Valleys

The Vallée de Sébrevet runs through granite and stretches from one mill to the next. In the Sébrevet Valley, you can buy flour directly at the Moulin de Sebrevet. The Vallée de Kerollin is considered a good place for fishing.
