Culture and History
Numerous calvaries have been recorded throughout the municipality of Pancé. A chapel is an important feature of Pancé’s landscape. The history of the area dates back to 860: Pancé was founded after Norse pirates had sailed up the Vilaine and plundered Saint-Melaine Abbey in Rennes.
Nature
Tertre Gris in Pancé has been designated a Sensitive Natural Area by the département. The wooded slope features pine trees, heather, broom and asphodels.
At Tertre Gris, seven stations along the route near the banks of the Semnon illustrate the geological, historical, industrial and natural diversity of the area.

The Trail du Tertre Gris offers races over various distances. The Trail du Tertre Gris in Pancé has been organised for 15 years by a team with varied, innovative routes adapted to different types of runners.
