Lanmeur can be explored through specific places and routes: religious buildings, a Neolithic stone, a food market and a walk give the town several clearly distinguishable facets.

Culture and History

The Tumulus dit Tossen-ar-C'honifled has been classified as a historic monument since 24 March 1970.

The Church of Saint-Mélar was rebuilt in 1904 according to plans by the architect Ernest Le Guerrannic. The south portal of Notre-Dame de Kernitron features one of only two surviving sculpted tympana in Brittany. The choir of Notre-Dame de Kernitron is a reconstruction from the 14th century. The Pardon of Notre-Dame de Kernitron is celebrated on 15 August; on the evening before, it includes a torchlight procession.

The Neolithic Menhir de Castell Ar Jolu is a 3.50-metre-high block of white quartz. Access to the property containing the Menhir de Castell Ar Jolu is tolerated in order to approach the menhir.

Local Life

The Marché du Centre in Lanmeur is a food market held every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Place Tanguy Prigent.

Routes and Activities

La balade du petit train is a 14-kilometre hike lasting approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. It starts and ends in Lanmeur, follows the former Morlaix–Lannion railway line and passes a tumulus.
