Trémel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Trémel is home to two historic buildings, the Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci and the Manoir de Kermerzit; at the same time, the Boucle de Saint Maurice leads through the Trégor countryside.

Culture and History

The Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci in Trémel was built at the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century and constructed around 1500 to 1520 by the workshop of Philippe Beaumanoir. It has a polygonal three-sided chancel, a tall bell tower, and four seigneurial chapels. On 12 December 1910, the church was classified as a Monument historique. Visits can be arranged upon request with the town hall secretariat.

The Manoir de Kermerzit in Trémel is a historic manor house that was converted into a farm at the beginning of the 19th century and listed as a Monument historique in 1927. Its entrance portal is designed in the Flamboyant Gothic style and has a pedestrian gate as well as a gate for carriages. The Chapelle Saint-Maurice in Trémel dates from 1900.

Hiking

The Boucle de Saint Maurice is an easy, 7.9-kilometre circular hike lasting approximately two hours. The trail is marked in yellow and is followed clockwise. It runs through the Trégor countryside between the valleys of the Yar and the Roscoat.

Nature

The Vallée du Douron is classified as a ZNIEFF and a Natura 2000 site. There are marked trails for hiking and mountain biking.
