At Étang du Pré Guiguen, you can go for a walk and observe the animals that live there. Along its marshy section, the path around the Étang has a boardwalk.
Nature
The Vallée du Moulin de la Mer is designated as a sensitive natural area of the département. The valley is also home to picturesque ruins of the old mill.
Local Life
Matignon's weekly market takes place in the town centre every Wednesday morning throughout the year, starting at 7 a.m. From 15 June until and including the first market day in September, there is also a small market selling local products under the market halls.
Culture
The Notre-Dame Church contains ten Art Deco stained-glass windows from the workshops of the Mauméjean brothers. The Chapelle Saint-Germain-de-la-Mer has Romanesque origins and preserves a granite baptismal font. It is also the starting point for the walk “Du village de Saint-Germain à la vallée du Moulin de la Mer”.
The Manoir de La Vigne dates from the 16th century and is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. Matignon also has a cultural and historical walk tracing the history of the Matignon and Grimaldi families.

Outside its summer 2026 visiting hours, the Manoir de La Vigne is open by telephone reservation. The Matignon tourist information office provides tourist information and helps organise stays in Matignon and the surrounding area.
