Hiking
The hike to the Croix de la Croze in Nébouzat begins in the village centre and leads through meadows at the foot of the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys. It is 3.6 km long, has an elevation gain of 60 metres and takes one hour.
The route to the Puy de Pourcharet crosses a richly structured agricultural plateau with forests and pastureland. It offers views of the Combrailles and numerous volcanic cones known as puys, as well as the Chaîne des Puys and the Massif du Sancy.

Nature
The Cascade des Saliens is located near the village of Nébouzat and can be reached via a short walk. It consists of three different waterfalls. The walk there and back takes 20 minutes; it can be reached either from the village of Les Saliens on the RD2089 or from the Camping des Dômes. Reaching the third waterfall requires some hiking and sturdy footwear.
In Récoleine, an information board stands at the site of a former chapel that was destroyed by lightning in 1946. From one of the highest points in the municipality, it enables walkers to take in the entire landscape. Flocks of sheep can still be found in the hills of Récoleine; some former shepherds’ huts are still visible on walks.
Culture and village life
The base of the Croix de la Croze is engraved with human and animal figures. Depicted are the Adoration of the Magi and a scene featuring a musician and dancers.
Old bread ovens have been preserved or restored; these include the oven at La Bughe, north of the village centre.
The market for local producers and craftspeople takes place in Nébouzat all year round on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There is no market on 24 December.
