Miremont: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

One of Miremont’s landmarks is the Église Saint-Bonnet. The Romanesque church dates from the first half of the 12th century and stands on a rocky ridge in a bend of the Sioulet. It was listed as a historic monument by decree of 3 December 1962.

Culture

The Musée Retour sur le Passé reconstructs life in the Combrailles region at the beginning of the 20th century. It is housed in a traditional home restored for this purpose, where several typical scenes featuring traditional costumes, tools, a school and former occupations are displayed.

Hiking and Landscape

The Le Sioulet hiking trail begins at the car park behind Miremont town hall. The circular trail is 10 kilometres long and is estimated to take three hours. The Sioulet is a tributary of the Sioule and attracts trout anglers in particular because of its wild, unspoilt character.

The Belvédère de Roche Grande offers a viewpoint over Lac des Fades-Besserve.

At Lac des Fades

The Auvergne Loisirs Confolant leisure centre rents out stand-up paddleboards, pedal boats and canoes or kayaks. It also offers pedal go-karting and mini golf for children.

The “Autour du Lac des Fades” discovery trail is a 54-kilometre circular route through the valleys of the Sioule and the Sioulet. In Miremont, the figures in the streets are part of this route; they are accessible from 1 May to 30 September.

Pont-du-Bouchet is a stop on the lake circuit and offers a viewpoint as well as access to a beach and its facilities. Confolant Beach has children’s play equipment and a picnic area; it also includes both shaded and sunny areas.
