Culture

The parish church of Saint-Pierre preserves the straight bay of the choir and the apse of a Romanesque church. Bagnols' Romanesque church contains a carved, painted and gilded wooden altarpiece dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Chemin de la Reine Margot is an 11 km yellow-marked circular trail in Bagnols. It follows a section of the former Roman road that once connected Clermont with the Cantal and the south of Aquitaine. The trail offers sweeping views over the Sancy Massif.

La Fontaine de Juilles is a 7 km blue-marked circular trail in Bagnols. The trail starts at a bread oven that is lit as a meeting place at every village festival. After crossing the L’Etoile stream, it passes a typical thatched-roof hut.
