The round arkose tower of La Sauvetat was built at the end of the 14th century, is 24 metres high and offers panoramic views from its platform.

Landscape and Location
La Sauvetat is part of the “Limagne viticole” wine-growing region in southern Limagne. A green corridor runs along the Charlet stream and frames La Sauvetat.
La Sauvetat is connected to Clermont-Ferrand via the A75.
Things to Do
The “Les forts de La Sauvetat” circular trail is 7.5 km long, takes 2 hours and 15 minutes, is easy and runs at an altitude of 379 to 420 metres.
Mountain bike route no. 23, “Cités de caractère”, is 11 km long, starts at the Domaine de Chadieu in Authezat and leads visitors on a tour of discovery of La Sauvetat.
Local Character
The annual Christmas market in La Sauvetat brings residents and visitors together. Around 100 producers showcase their expertise in the cellars of the commandery.
