The Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Puy-en-Velay was built between the 11th and 12th centuries. Its cloister features a remarkable series of figurative capitals from the 12th century, as well as a wrought-iron grille dating from the beginning of the 13th century. In the cathedral ensemble of Le Puy-en-Velay, visitors can also explore the Romanesque cloister, the chapter house and the building with machicolations.
The statue of Notre-Dame de France is also part of the site's distinctive architectural and visual language. It is 22.70 m high and weighs 835 tonnes. Visitors can enter its interior and climb up to the crown.
City and nature
Jardin Henri Vinay is a 4.3-hectare park in the city centre of Le Puy-en-Velay. More than 400 trees over 50 years old grow there; some are more than a century old. The garden also offers an educational, playful activity about the history of Jardin Henri Vinay, open to everyone, with 14 questions and hidden markers.
Rocher Corneille is a 132 m-high basalt neck formed from the lower part of the chimney of a former volcano.

L'Aventure de la Lentille du Puy includes a 220 m² scenographic trail, two immersive rooms, guided tours, educational workshops and playful activities for children. The visitor experience centred on the “Lentille verte du Puy” legume is immersive and interactive; the pulse has A.O.P. status.
The Via Podiensis is also part of the local history of pilgrimage routes: it begins in Le Puy-en-Velay and leads over the Roncevaux Pass to the Pyrenees.
