For mountain biking, Bellevue-la-Montagne has the signposted Entre Chomelix et Bellevue loop route. It is classified as moderately difficult, takes approximately 1 hour, covers 14.5 km, and reaches a maximum elevation of 977 m. The loop follows well-maintained, gently uneven paths that are easy to walk or cycle on and is considered a family route.

Culture and History

Of the ancient Saint-Just castle, once flanked by two round towers and two square towers, only one tower and the main residential building remain. Château de Saint-Just controlled the road between Craponne-sur-Arzon and Le Puy-en-Velay from the early Middle Ages onwards.

The Chomelix–Saint-Paulien section of the Way of St. James also passes through Bellevue-la-Montagne and features a diverse rural cultural heritage. The former Château de Bellevue-la-Montagne was built in the 15th century by descendants of the d’Allègre family, including the Tourzel and Quesnel families.
