Culture and history

The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste is a Gothic church from the 14th century; it was built in the 14th century based on the model of La Chaise-Dieu Abbey. The choir contains 16th-century wall paintings.

The PR683 De Garitou aux Ardennes circular trail starts and ends in Chambeyrac, a hamlet in the municipality of Céaux-d'Allègre. It is easy, 9.7 km long and takes 3 hours.

PR110 Les cinq fontaines is a heavily shaded hiking route leading to five springs at the foot of the volcano. The route crosses the Borne Orientale and passes the private Château de Courbière, whose construction phases date from the 13th and 15th to 18th centuries. This moderately difficult hike is 8.6 km long and takes 2 hours and 15 minutes.
