The PR322 La Pierre Trouée circular hike starts in Pinols and is signposted as a trail in the Petite Randonnée category. On the circular hike, forest clearings lead to views of the Sancy.
Cycling
Le chemin de la Résistance is 32.8 km long and is a signposted mountain biking circuit starting in Pinols. The route leads to the Monument National de la Résistance, which comprises a memorial site, a museum and a picnic area.
Culture and history
The parish church of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours in Pinols was built from 1859 onwards according to plans by the departmental architect Normand.
The Montgros mine was discovered in 1890. It was operated continuously and actively from 1899 to 1906; it was finally abandoned in July 1912.
The Pinols concession with the Montgros deposit extended across the territories of the municipalities of Desges, Nozeyrolles and Pinols. It lay south of Pinols and was traversed by the deep Courgueyre ravine.
Farm and products
La Ferme du Boussillon offers a visit to the farm followed by a goûter or casse-croûte. Farm products such as cured meats, eggs and small fruits are sold there. The Ferme also has a sales outlet for the direct sale of farm products.
