Le Trou du Diable, a jumble of rocks on the River Rance, is located near Vitrac. Over the centuries, swirling waters have formed remarkable gours there, that is, stone basins polished by the water. Vitrac’s historical heritage includes Château de Fargues. The fortified château and the seat of the Seigneurie of the Méallet family have been mentioned there since the 13th century. In the Church of Saint-Martial in Vitrac, the high altar features a tabernacle with the two 18th-century statues of Saint Louis and Saint Martial; it was registered as a protected object in 2001.
