Lacapelle-Viescamp: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Marais du Cassan et de Prentegarde is located at an altitude of 550 m between Lacapelle-Viescamp, Saint-Étienne-Cantalès and Saint-Paul-des-Landes. The area comprises wet meadows, marshes and peaty heathland and is classified as an Espace Naturel Sensible for water and wetlands.
Culture and History
The Château de Viescamp has a medieval square keep from the 15th century, built on foundations dating from the 13th century. In the 18th century, the château was expanded by adding a substantial main building.
The Viaduc de Viescamp is a curved stone viaduct over the Authre River. Its five semicircular arches each have a span of 16 m. The viaduct was built during the construction of the Viescamp–Laroquebrou railway line. The project for this line dates from 1882; it opened in 1891.
