The Église Saint-Martin stands below the village on a site that has probably been in use since Late Antiquity. Along the outer wall of the nave, it preserves well-preserved, carved corbels that characterise the Romanesque section of the building. Inside are stained-glass windows by the regional glass artists Crombak and Desgranges.

Culture and History
The Château de la Motte-Verger preserves the structures of a fortified residence built around 1400 by Regnaud de La Motte. Since 2017, the south tower has housed a permanent exhibition about the writer Albert Bonneau. Exhibits include a wooden Guignol theatre, puppets, his desk and his Remington typewriter.
Near the church, an artificial, now levelled motte once supported the original castle of the Château de la Motte-Verger. The Chapelle Sainte-Catherine has a two-bay nave, two round-arched windows and a semicircular apse to the east.
On 1 June 1474, the canon of Saint-Nicolas de Montluçon and Philippe d’Avenières, Lord of Chirat, drew up the founding document for the domestic chapel of Saint-Antoine and Sainte-Catherine at the Château de Chirat-Guérin.
Nature and Waterways
The AAPPMA de Voussac manages an 11 km fishing stretch on Le Venant. Le Venant is a first-category watercourse for fishing. The fishing stretch is regularly accessible and lined with meadows.
The Forêt de Vacheresse serves as a large wooded refuge for game and black woodpeckers and contributes to biodiversity in an open agricultural landscape. It is dominated by an oak forest on acidic soil; the uniform plateau is managed as a regular high forest of sessile oaks. Numerous hiking trails cross the forest, including connections to the forests of Giverzat (ZNIEFF) and Monestier.
The municipal campsite is 7 km from the A71, Exit 11, and can be reached via the D46 towards Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. It was intended as a stopover site for travellers heading to the Mediterranean or Atlantic coasts and was situated in a shady, green setting appreciated by some campers.
