The Château de Saint-Hilaire dates back to the 18th century, stands on the site of the medieval castle and has a U-shaped layout. Along the RD 11, the former miners’ settlement built in 1943/1944 and a partially overgrown remnant of a spoil heap bear witness to Saint-Hilaire’s mining history. A barite deposit was exploited in Saint-Hilaire from 1936 to 1975.
