Lys: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The church of Lys is dedicated to Notre-Dame and was built between 1904 and 1906. It has a bell-tower porch and a four-bay nave with round-arch arcades. Inside there is a high altar retable surrounding a painting of Saint Peter; the furnishings also include eight stained-glass windows.

The Quiller de Lys was extensively renovated; the renovation was inaugurated in December 2023. Lys also has a plantier where the traditional bowling game Quilles de neuf is played.

Nature

Lys is home to a remarkable oak tree with a trunk circumference of 7.5 metres. The Circuit patrimoine du piémont ossalois is a 4.4-kilometre, very easy hiking trail taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is marked with yellow waymarkers and offers views of the foothills and the first mountain slopes of the Ossau Valley.
