The local hiking plan for Geüs-d'Oloron includes numerous signposted walking trails. N°81 Les Coteaux de Joos is a 8.9-kilometre, very easy hiking route with 184 metres of elevation gain, suitable for families.

Part of Route N°81 Les Coteaux de Joos follows the GR78 Way of St James. The route passes through the gently rolling hills of Geüs-d'Oloron between agricultural land and forests; from the higher elevations, there are views of the mountains.

Culture and History

Notre-Dame Church has a Trinitarian bell tower and contains a 17th-century tabernacle. Its origins date back to the Romanesque period; only the apse remains from that time.

The bell tower of Notre-Dame Church was rebuilt between 1883 and 1885, and the church was consecrated in December 1885. The former washhouse dates from the 16th century. A former mill is supplied by a diversion of the Joos.

The Ahargo peak, the Sommet du Cambillou peak and the Soum d'Ombret peak are located near Geüs-d'Oloron.
