Partly located in Borce, the fortified ensemble of Portalet includes Fort de Poutou, an access bridge and other associated fortifications. It was classified as a historic monument by decree of 30 November 2005.

In the heart of Borce’s town centre, the secular abbey and the Église Saint Michel are inseparably connected. The Hospitalet de Borce is located on the Way of St James and presents the origins of the pilgrimage to Compostela, former and present-day motives, travel conditions and the chronological history of the former chapel. Independent visits and guided tours are available at the Hospitalet de Borce.
