The Aspe Route – Chemins du gave has only slight changes in elevation, making it accessible to a large number of visitors. The walk to the Table d’Orientation de Bedous uses information panels explaining the landscape and the formation of the valley.
Culture and History
The parish church of Saint-Michel in Bedous features major construction phases from the 14th century, the second quarter of the 17th century and the late 19th century. In 1569, the church was burned down by Protestant troops and restored at the beginning of the 17th century.
The Chapel of Saint-Jean is located in Orcun, Bedous. It dates back to the 13th century, was modified in the 17th century, and its nave vault was restored in 1740.
Activities
The VTTAE Route No. 11 Tour du Vallon de Bedous is an 11.9-kilometre circular route starting in Bedous. The electric bicycle rental station in Bedous provides four electric bicycles, allowing visitors to explore Bedous, Accous, Lées-Athas and Osse-en-Aspe.
The Montanaspe association, based in Bedous, organises the Trail Montan’Aspe every year as its main event. The Trail Montan’Aspe offers four race formats. In winter, snowshoe hikes for groups of five to 15 people are offered in the Aspe Valley on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Getting Around
The Pau-Canfranc pass combines a TER journey from Pau to Bedous with a bus journey from Bedous to Canfranc. From 4 July 2026, route 55 will connect Pau, Oloron-Sainte-Marie and Bedous; from that date, route 550 will connect Bedous and Canfranc.
The Aspe Valley Tourist Office is located in the centre of Bedous, on the central square, in a fully renovated and modernised historic building with accessible facilities.
