History

The historic site of Camp de Gurs extended across the municipal territories of Dognen, Gurs and Préchacq-Josbaig. Camp de Gurs also shaped Dognen’s history; 80 % of the camp was located within the municipality of Dognen. The Tumulus du camp de Gurs at the lieu-dit Le Buisson, also known as Marloudy, has been listed as a historic monument since 20 November 1961.

Château Orognen is one of the four castles in Dognen. These four castles are named after the lords who lived there and bear witness to a rich history.

Culture

During the summer season, Arts Saint-Germain presents exhibitions of paintings and sculptures in Dognen.
