The “Saint-Pierre-de-Caubel, la balade de Darbe Feuille” route starts in Pinel-Hauterive, is 12.3 kilometres long and has an elevation gain of 320 metres. Its surroundings are located in the Tolzac Valley. The village there is characterised by three wooded hills. The elevations of the Caubel and Darbe Feuille plateaus rise noticeably, while the Pech de Ragot is characterised by a very steep descent.

The parish church of Sainte-Catherine may date from the 16th century, based on its western portal with a pointed arch. During its restoration in the 1990s, the interior furnishings and the false vault from the late 19th century were removed.

The ruins of the Abbaye de Pérignac are located in the immediate vicinity of Hauterive.
