In the heart of the small town of Nérac lies the Château-musée Henri IV at Rue Henri IV, 47600 Nérac. After the Albret family ascended to the throne in the Kingdom of Navarre, it became a royal residence in 1484. Today, the Château-musée Henri IV presents a permanent exhibition about the Albret dynasty and the origins of Henry IV.

The route “Nérac, une balade de la Garenne au château Henri IV” begins on the banks of the Baïse in the shady Parc de la Garenne, crosses the river and leads through the historic streets around the Château Henri IV. The route “Nérac, la balade de Nazareth” offers views of the town and panoramas across the expansive landscapes of the Val de Baïse.
In the Parc de la Garenne and at the Jardins du Roi, the town of Nérac offers the multimedia tour “3000 pas vers les Jardins du Roi”, covering the history of the former royal estate.
From the end of June to the beginning of September, “Mardis So Gascogne” takes place on Tuesday evenings at the entrance to the Parc de la Garenne in Nérac.
On the Baïse, the Croisières du Prince Henry offer one-hour trips in a wooden gabare with a capacity of 75 passengers, including passage through a lock.
