History and Culture
The Church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens in Tilh dates from the 11th and 12th centuries. Its present appearance dates from 1638.
Finds of flint, shards, pottery and amphorae at the Cap dou Yert site provide evidence of human settlement in prehistoric times.
The Violon de Tilh is now displayed in an entrance hall and is visible to everyone. During his imprisonment at the Friedrichsfeld camp, Hector made a violin with a knife.
Arenas and Events
The “Henri Meunier” arenas have 1,000 seats; the track measures 36 m × 23 m. They are used year-round for races, patron saint festivals and club events.
