Culture and History

The Parcours du patrimoine de Mugron is a freely accessible circular trail with 20 marked points of interest. The Arènes de Condrette were built in 1911 and have 2,500 seats. In summer, they host Courses landaises as part of the local festivals.

The Chai d’Antin is a 17th-century wine cellar with a preserved monumental roof structure. Its upper floor displays works by painters, photographers, sculptors and other selected artists. The Église Saint-Laurent has a Latin-cross floor plan with a nave, two side aisles and a projecting transept.

Near Mugron, the Sentier de l’Adour forms part of an approximately 130-kilometre-long, environmentally friendly route between Dax and Aire-sur-l’Adour. The Itinéraire nautique de l’Adour is a developed canoe route from Aire-sur-l’Adour to Mugron, with designated access points to the river.

The “A Mugron – Circuit à la découverte de la vallée de l’Adour” circular route starts at Place Chantilly, runs along the slopes above the Adour and via the Voie Verte de Chalosse, and offers panoramic views. The “A Mugron – Circuit du Port” circular route also starts at Place Chantilly, follows the Voie Verte and offers views of the Landes forest and the Adour Valley. The “A Mugron et Poyanne – Circuit entre Adour et Voie Verte” circular route follows the Voie Verte de Chalosse, a former railway line, and connects the Louts and the Adour.

“Le petit explorateur” is a circular trail in the centre of Mugron for children aged 6 to 12, with puzzles and treasure-hunt games.
