Culture and History
A defining building in Saint-Geours-de-Maremne is the Église Saint-Georges. The church is of Romanesque origin; its apse was remodelled and fortified in the 14th century. It also features a polygonal stair tower, as well as small surviving defensive openings in the tower and on the west side of the bell tower.
