Culture and History
The present-day Église Saint-Pierre was built towards the end of the 15th century. Inside it is a wooden Christ dating from the 17th century, which has been classified by the Commission des Beaux-Arts. The church is also a stop on the coastal route of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela in the Landes.
The local festival tradition includes the Feria Sen Bertomiu, which was first held in 1996 and included cavalcades, bandas and bodegas. The Arènes Roland Portalier were built in 1927. Fighting bulls performed there from 28 August 1927 onwards; at that time, the arenas hosted prominent bullfighters. The Fronton de Parentis-en-Born was built in 1956 as a wall for the Basque pelota game.

The Saison Culturelle Parentissoise is an annual programme featuring performances by professional ensembles. The programme includes performances in the fields of comedy, theatre and chanson. The Salon du Livre also takes place in Parentis-en-Born every year, bringing together authors, illustrators, publishers and booksellers.

Parentis Aventure is a treetop adventure park along Lac de Parentis-en-Born in the Landes département. The L'Or Noir du pays de Born route runs along the water, is 3 km long and takes about 2 hours. Terra Aventura: L'Or Noir du pays de Born is a treasure hunt carried out using a smartphone or GPS, combining a walk with the discovery of the local natural and cultural heritage.

Plage Moutéou Pipiou offers fine sand, a children's playground, picnic tables and swimming in calm water. Les Ecuries de l'Hacienda offers horse and pony rides, riding lessons and courses; the rides take place by the lake or in the forest.
Pêche à la truite de Parentis du Moulin d’Esleys provides fishing equipment free of charge; no permit or fishing licence is required there. The offer is aimed at beginners and experienced anglers and includes rod fishing. Port du Piaou in Parentis-en-Born is one of the possible meeting points for fishing guide Arnaud FAMERY. He offers boat fishing trips for predatory fish on the lakes of the Landes.
