At Labenne Beach, the lifeguard station bears the “Qualité Tourisme” label. A greenway connects southern Gironde with Labenne via Capbreton and is accessible to cyclists, pedestrians and rollerbladers.

Nature

The Labenne Zoo showcases more than 75 species and over 350 animals in a protected, five-hectare setting. The municipality of Labenne also owns a large part of the Domaine d’Orx and its nature reserve.

Culture

The Saint-Nicolas Church in Labenne was built in the second half of the 19th century and houses a polychrome wooden Madonna dating from the 15th century. The Sainte-Thérèse Chapel opened on 1 December 1932 in the dunes of Labenne Océan; it is just a few steps from the Centre Hélio Marin and the beach.

The Abbaye de Saint-Bernard-lès-Bayonne is located near Labenne and is an attraction listed as a historic site. The Citadelle de Bayonne and the Château Vieux de Bayonne are also located there; both are attractions listed as fortresses. In the wider region around Labenne, the Rocher de la Vierge is a landmark listed as a monument.
