The beach at Cap de l’Homy stretches for 10 kilometres and is used for jogging and walks by the sea. When staying in Lit-et-Mixe, you may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

The dune at Cap de l’Homy is untouched by development. The Belvédère du Cap de l’Homy, a viewpoint with benches from which the ocean can be viewed, is located on the dune. Also at Cap de l’Homy, surf schools offer courses and lessons for all levels, led by qualified surf instructors.
Culture and History
The Church of Notre-Dame de Lit was built as a fortified church in the 14th century. At the foot of its bell tower is a stone Pietà dating from the 15th century. The carved door leaves from the 15th century at Notre-Dame de Lit are classified as historic monuments.
The Musée Landes d’Antan gives visitors an insight into the lives of people in the Marensin from the 19th to the 20th century. The museum’s barn houses a monumental pinasse.
Local Life
The seasonal market in Lit-et-Mixe takes place in summer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fruit and vegetables, cured meats and cheese, fish, and regional products are available.
The iron-rich Source de Yons spring has been dedicated to Notre-Dame de Yons since time immemorial.
