The Barthes de Mées are a 25-hectare natural area consisting mainly of grazed natural meadows and mixed deciduous forests. Trails and activities
The Voie verte 1 du Grand Dax is a walking and cycling path. It runs for 14.8 km between Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, Mées, Angoumè and Rivière-Saas-et-Gourby.
The Circuit des barthes neuves is a 5.2 km, very easy walking route starting in Mées. The circular route begins at the car park in the town centre, crosses the railway line to Paris and Hendaye, then continues along the Route du Port to the banks of the Adour. There, it follows the river for approximately 2 km.
The Domaine El Campo offers carriage rides as well as horse or pony rides by reservation; the carriage can accommodate a maximum of 4 to 5 people. The Domaine El Campo in Mées also includes an equestrian facility and a private arena.

Culture and history
The hexagonal Pierre de Tinon in the north of Mées is associated with a local legend about dancing witches. The parish church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Mées was built between 1865 and 1868 by Hippolyte Durand and Hippolyte Guichenné.
The area of Le Port in Mées recalls the time when the navigable Adour was used for trade.
