The parish church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Luxey was rebuilt between 1864 and 1876 by the architect Alexandre Ozanne. It has three naves and a bell tower crowned by an octagonal stone spire.

The Atelier-musée has been designated a “Musée de France” since 17 September 2003. The former factory of the Atelier-musée operated from 1859 to 1954 and is the last known pre-industrial site in the Forêt des Landes de Gascogne. The museum features buildings for storing rosin and turpentine oil barrels, a distillation plant, resin-tapping tools and a cooperage.

The Hello Apollo sculpture is located in the pond of Luxey. The Estupe Huc Museum presents the history of efforts to combat the major forest fires of 1947 and 1949 through to the establishment of the fire service. It can be visited year-round by individuals and groups by prior appointment.

Nature

The Site de Garlande et Gaouchey can only be visited by prior appointment as part of a guided tour. The path at the Site de Garlande in Luxey runs through wooded areas and meadows along the river. The Petite Leyre in Luxey has calm waters and inviting banks.

Events

Musicalarue combines street performance and music in the heart of the forest and regularly takes place in Luxey on the last weekend of July.

Les Cigales hosts performances, concerts, artists’ residencies and workshops for young artists. The Cercle de l'Union presents exhibitions by local artists and several concert evenings each year.
