The Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste d'Aulès and the adjoining cemetery gate have been classified as historic monuments by decree dated November 8, 2004. The church was fortified in the 14th century by adding a western tower gate. The Eglise Notre-Dame du bourg is Gothic in style.
The Château de Candale was built between 1566 and 1600 at the behest of Jacques de Foix-Candale, Baron of Doazit. Its central building is in the Henri IV style. The Château de Candale is privately owned and cannot be visited.
